Manager's Message

The Fort Frances Chamber of Commerce began in 1909 and boasts for serving over 100 years to business and to the community at large. As the current Executive Manager I am proud to be a part of this strong organization.

To say the Fort Frances Chamber is an active body would be an understatement. Scarcely a month passes without some kind of program or event taking place, whether it’s an exclusive member activity or one for the participation and benefit of the entire community.

The Fort Frances Chamber of Commerce is a multifaceted organization offering a broad range of benefits and programs for its members. Highlights include our popular Gift Certificate program, preferred VISA and MasterCard rates, group insurance plans, discounts for marketing event participation, and a cross reference business directory.

The City of Fort Frances has dynamic, diversified commercial and industrial sectors. Its growth and positioning in the global marketplace deserves recognition and the Chamber does so with its prestigious Business Awards Banquet. Held each January, this glittering affair attracts close to 200 of the Town’s professionals who gather to recognize and encourage the best of their peers.

In conjunction with the Awards Banquet, is the annual Volunteer of the Year. Each year, the Chamber recognizes an individual who has made a significant contribution to the community and to everyone who lives and works here. The winner is honoured during the banquet.

Chamber members also get the benefit of preferred rates at our premier marketing event, the annual Spring Home & Leisure show. This event attracts close to 5,000 visitors from across the region and is the largest event of its kind in the Rainy River District.

Members also enjoy the Business after Hours Show, held throughout the year. This is an outstanding networking event, giving local businesses an opportunity to showcase goods and services.

The Fort Frances Chamber of Commerce has earned its profile in the community because of its services, events, and commitment to the City’s growth and prosperity. Our members are active, not only in Chamber activities but in all the affairs of the Town of Fort Frances as well.
